Statement of Faith

At American Faith Academy, our mission, teaching, and community life are grounded in biblical Christian truth, recognizing that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). The following statement expresses the core biblical convictions that shape our philosophy of education, our discipleship of students, and our partnership with families.

Our Foundation

We believe that truth is rooted in the character of God and revealed through His Word. Because education is never spiritually neutral, we are committed to teaching and learning in a way that is consciously Christ-centered, biblically faithful, and directed toward the formation of wisdom, virtue, and joyful obedience to God.

01

The Scriptures

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. Because Scripture is breathed out by God, it is wholly trustworthy and sufficient to teach us what we are to believe and how we are to live.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 · Psalm 19:7–11 · Psalm 119:105 · Isaiah 40:8 · Matthew 5:17–18 · John 17:17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21
02

One God, Three Persons

We believe in one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, equal in deity, power, and glory, and worthy of all honor, worship, and obedience.

03

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, taught with divine authority, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high, where He now reigns as our High Priest and Advocate before the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. We believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, as the Scriptures declare. Through His life, death, and resurrection, God accomplished the gospel—the good news that sinners are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

04

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, indwells every Christian, and empowers believers for godly living, service, and witness. He illuminates Scripture, produces spiritual fruit, equips the church with gifts for the building up of the body of Christ, and actively leads believers in truth according to the Word of God.

05

Humanity and Sin

We believe that human beings are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and worth. Yet because of the fall of mankind, all people are sinners by nature and by choice, separated from God, and unable to save themselves apart from divine grace. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, and only through faith in Him can anyone be reconciled to God and receive eternal life.

06

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those who repent of sin and trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven, declared righteous, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life. Salvation is not earned by works, but genuine faith results in a transformed life marked by obedience and love.

07

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, consisting of all true believers, and is called to worship God, make disciples, serve one another, proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, and make God known among all peoples as it bears witness to the gospel in the world. As disciples of Christ, we are called to follow Him in faith and obedience, living according to His teachings revealed in the New Testament.

08

Christian Living and Discipleship

We believe Christians are called to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength, to love their neighbors as themselves, and to walk in holiness, humility, truth, and compassion. Education should therefore form not only the intellect, but also the affections, habits, and character of students in submission to Christ.

09

Marriage, Family, and Human Identity

We believe God created humanity male and female in His image. We believe marriage is a covenantal union ordained by God between one man and one woman, and that the family is a foundational institution for human flourishing, discipleship, and the nurture of children. Because every person is made in the image of God, we believe all life is sacred from conception onward. We seek to uphold these truths with both conviction and grace.

10

The Return of Christ and Eternal Hope

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. There will be a final judgment, the resurrection of the dead, eternal life and joy with God for the redeemed in heaven, and eternal separation from God in hell for those who reject Him. This future hope gives urgency to our mission and steadies us in faithful service today.

John 14:1–3 · Matthew 25:31–46 · 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 · 2 Timothy 4:8 · Revelation 20:11–15 · Revelation 21:1–4 · Revelation 22:12
11

Other Core Values

We believe that grounding children in God’s truth and virtue is the beginning of wisdom and one of the strongest safeguards against destructive ideologies.

We believe the family is the central influence in a child’s formation, and that the church, school, and community exist to serve God by reinforcing and supporting the family in this sacred task.

We believe the founding ideals of the United States, freedom, equality, liberty, opportunity, and democracy, should be faithfully taught, modeled, and preserved.

We believe that united advocacy for virtuous education is essential to a flourishing people and a healthy society.

Truth That Shapes the Whole Educational Journey

Our Statement of Faith is not merely a formality. It guides how we teach, how we disciple, how we partner with families, and how we seek to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and joyful faithfulness in every student.
